Cellar Door Inks Groundbreaking Deal
November 9, 2005

CHARLOTTETOWN (November 7, 2005)Charlottetown-based Cellar Door Productions Inc., along with co-production partner Sinking Ship Productions Inc. of Toronto and National Geographic, have announced a first-of-its-kind deal for the production of a new premiere children's series entitled Are We There Yet?. The partners screened a pilot of the new series, recently filmed on location in Mexico, to a responsive buying audience at last month's MIPCOM event in Cannes, France.

Are We There Yet? represents the first ever unscripted global travel-adventure series for kids, hosted by kids. The show takes viewers on a worldwide field trip through the eyes - and crayon-drawn travel logs - of show hosts 7-year-old Molly and her 5-year-old brother Sam Raymond of Toronto. The two criss-cross the globe exploring exotic and exciting destinations while meeting up with local children to get a first-hand look at how they live, the foods they eat and the games they play.

The partnership marks a groundbreaking agreement for National Geographic's newly formed Kid's Programming and Production group. The production partners are currently negotiating sale of the show with several major networks with shooting projected to start in Spring, 2006.

"Response to date on Are We There Yet? has been phenomenal," said Gretha Rose, Executive Producer and President of Cellar Door Productions Inc. "We think the unique aspects of this series coupled with our relationship with an internationally recognized and respected partner such as National Geographic bodes well for the show's future success."

Cellar Door continues to expand and diversify its production slate with a number of aggressive projects in development for 2006, including a teen drama series, a new food series starring popular host Chef Michael Smith and a long format version of its Gemini-award winning series of animated shorts, Doodlez. The company is also developing several new format concepts for international sale, including a fantasy sports themed interstitial series designed for multi-platform distribution on TV, Web, Mobile and Home Entertainment mediums.

Sinking Ship Productions, creators of the Gemini-award winning children's series This Is Daniel Cook, also has a number of new children's properties in development for 2006.
