Four Successful Cogsdale Implementations underway in Sacramento, CA Area
August 24, 2005
Cogsdale Corporation is pleased to announce the addition of four customers in the Sacramento, California area over the past 3 years:
Citrus Heights Water District: November 2002
Fair Oaks Water District: April 2004
Carmichael Water District: July 2004
Sacramento Suburban Water District: March 2005
Each customer chose Cogsdale for their ability to provide an integrated CIS/Financial system developed in Microsoft Business Solutions - Great Plains and the flexibility to integrate with other core applications such as CMMS and GIS.
Citrus Heights Water District began working with Westin Engineering on a Technology Improvement Master Plan in 2001. The goal of the project was to select a Customer Information System (CIS) and Financial Management System to integrate with the selected Cityworks Customer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and ESRIls Geographical Information System (GIS). After in-depth planning and evaluation, Citrus Heights selected Cogsdale to provide the fit, functionality and quality they had found in their CMMS and GIS systems; they were also impressed with the positive references provided by existing Cogsdale clients. Pam Peters, Project Manager with Citrus Heights, was pleased with the implementation and on-going support services received from the Cogsdale team. "Now that we are over three years into our installation using Cogsdale and all of our other systems are up, running and integrated, we are still very happy with our choice. Cogsdalels ability to look outside the box to find a solution is important. Cogsdale does that very well and was the right choice for us."
Hearing positive feedback about the Citrus Heights implementation piqued the interest of Fair Oaks Water District. Smaller than Citrus Heights, with 14,000 connections, Fair Oaks was eager to replace their existing, unsupported customer information system/ financial management system. After discussions with Citrus Heights and a demonstration by the Cogsdale team, Fair Oaks Water District decided to move to the integrated Cogsdale customer information system/Great Plains financial management system. Fair Oaks went live with the CIS portion of their new solution in August 2004. Fair Oaks Water District is dedicated to providing excellent customer service and high-quality, reliable water to their customers, at competitive rates. With the implementation of Cogsdale CSM, they found that they were able to continue the superior customer service that they are known for. The Great Plains implementation at Fair Oaks is nearing completion.
During this period, Carmichael Water Districtls Senior Management and Customer Service Representatives wished to improve the level of service to their customers and had decided to move to a new CIS/financial management system. A visit to the Cogsdale booth at the American Water Works Customer Service Conference sparked Carmichaells interest in Cogsdale. After speaking with Cogsdale representatives and learning about the success of their neighboring communities, Carmichael was keen to learn more. Prior to searching for a solution, Carmichael Water District had made the decision to standardize on Microsoft technology. Cogsdalels integration with Microsoft Business Solutions - Great Plains played an important role in distinguishing Cogsdale from other vendors. Carmichaells implementation is currently underway, with the expected go-live date of August 29th.
Continuing with the success in the Sacramento area, Sacramento Suburban Water District is the most recent client to sign with Cogsdale. A visit to Citrus Heights Water District in January 2005 impressed the Sacramento Suburban team, making Cogsdale an obvious choice for their system needs . Having also teamed with Westin Engineering for the implementation of Azteca "Cityworks" CMMS and ESRI GIS systems, SSWD felt that Cogsdale had the experience, support and flexibility required to address the needs of the district. The largest installation in the area, with 45,000 customer connections, Sacramento Suburban Water District is currently in implementation and looking forward to going live in September, 2005 with Great Plains financials and January, 2006 with Cogsdale CSM.
"Cogsdale is dedicated to making each customer implementation a success story and to build strong relationships with our customers for many years to come," Duncan Shaw, co-president of Cogsdale states. "This commitment is paying off in areas such as Sacramento where success seems to breed success."
