Doodlez wins Gemini Award

Doodlez Named "Best Animated Program or Series" at the Gemini Awards
Cellar Door Productions Animated Short "Doodlez" was awarded the Gemini for "Best Animated Program or Series" during the Gemini Awards held in Toronto on October 19, 2003.
The program is a children's half-hour animated Special, comprised of 11 2- minute animated shorts. Animated by Trapeze Animation Studios Limited, with post done at Boulevard Productions and Salter Digital.
The Academy dedicates itself to Canadian film and television. Its mandate is to honour outstanding achievements; to heighten public awareness and increase audience attendance and appreciation of Canadian film and television productions; and to encourage the highest standards of film and television production in Canada.

Doodlez is one of many television productions produced by Cellar Door Productions. Cellar Door is currently in production on an additional 39 two-minute episodes. Doodlez currently airs on TeleTOON, with international sales on Comedy Network Australia, and Cartoon Network Japan and Latin America. Doodlez is produced in participation with Telefilm Canada License Fee Program, Technology PEI, Shaw Children's Programming Initiative, and the Bell Fund.
