Trade Team PEI - Mission to India

Trade Team PEI, on behalf of Innovation PEI & ACOA PEI, is undertaking recruitment for the upcoming Trade Team PEI Trade Mission to INDIA, scheduled for January 18-22, 2010.
This mission is being planned around the "Global Economic Summit," an international business forum
that will bring global leaders in business and government together to explore business prospects and investment opportunities. As the host country, this year's summit will spotlight the emergence of India as an economic power and present the business prospects and investment opportunities available for visiting international delegations.
The 2010 Global Economic Summit will be held in the city of Mumbai on January 20-22 and is being jointly organized by the World Trade Centre (Mumbai) and the All India Association of Industries.
For more information on the Summit, please visit the website www.globalsummit.in. Infrastructure, energy, biotechnology, food processing and healthcare represent the key sectors being highlighted in the Summit's programme.
A pan-Atlantic delegation of economic development stakeholders representing the private, educational and public sectors, will be participating in the Global Economic Summit. To complement and strengthen
Atlantic Canada's presence at this Summit, Trade Team PEI is preparing to execute a multi-sector Trade
Mission around the Summit and is encouraging PEI-based companies and organizations who are keenly
interested in India to participate in this unique opportunity.
The Mission component will feature a program of business-to-business meetings arranged through the services of a contracted matchmaker. A firm with extensive "in-market" experience and networks in India is expected to be under contract by Trade Team PEI in December. While the Summit will be based in Mumbai, travel across the country is anticipated for companies and organizations executing their broader Mission programs. Networking receptions, on-site coordination and local transportation support will complement the business programs. The fee to participate in the Mission has been set at $500.00, payable upon registration.
Participants will be responsible for the costs of airfare, accommodations and meals. Innovation PEI will assist with 40% funding towards these eligible travel expenses.
