IT VOLUNTEERS URGENTLY NEEDED FOR 2009 CANADA SUMMER GAMES

The following is a request on behalf of the 2009 Canada Games Committee:
From August 15th - 29th, P.E.I. will play host to the 2009 Canada Games. The Games will need 6,000 volunteers working in communities from Alberton to Souris in a variety of different roles. In particular, the Canada Games are looking for IT volunteers, as either Tech Support at one of their provincial venues, working as part of the team on the IT Help Desk at the Royalty Centre "House of Sport" 40 Enman Crescent or as Application Support for the Games software. Training will be provided.
The IT Division of the 2009 Canada Games is requesting that any ITAP members or their employees who are interested in volunteering to please visit the Canada Games website www.2009canadagames.ca, click on Apply to Volunteer and select Information Technology in the Interests section.
They are looking for Volunteers who can commit 16 hours over the two week period. A typical day will be split into 4, 4 hour shifts.
